Before I found out I was pregnant, I was struggling to figure out who I truly was. I had always wanted children, but I never knew when that would happen. When I learned I was pregnant, I was overjoyed but also scared. I knew I wanted to keep my baby, but I also knew I would need support.
When I received a Love Box, I initially thought it was just a gimmick. Then my Embrace Grace group leader reached out and invited me to attend their first meeting. I was reluctant at first, but I decided to give it a chance, and I'm so glad I did. From that first meeting, I was surrounded by women who genuinely cared about me. We had so much in common, and their love and encouragement gave me hope for the future. Before Embrace Grace, I worried that I would never find a community that supported me. Now, I know I have a village beside me.
Even after completing Embrace Grace, my leaders continue to text me and check on my baby and me. Their support didn't end when the semester did, and that means so much to me. I enjoyed my experience so much that I've even decided to join Embrace Life in a few weeks. I'm grateful that I gave Embrace Grace a chance because I found the community I had been hoping for.
Find a place of belonging in a support group for moms with unexpected pregnancies or single, young moms and dads.
