Before I became pregnant, I had been in church my entire life. My parents are strong Christians, so I grew up attending church every Sunday, going to VBS, and attending a Christian school. But when I left for college, I drifted away from my faith and started making choices I never thought I would make. During my junior year, I found out I was pregnant by someone I wasn't in a relationship with. At first, I wanted everything to go back to normal and thought ending the pregnancy would be the easiest option. But I realized my son was a gift, and I chose life.
After finishing the semester, I moved back home and started attending church with my parents again. That's when I found out our church had an Embrace Grace group. My mom encouraged me to join, and it became exactly what I needed. Embrace Grace surrounded me with women who encouraged me, pointed me back to Christ, and reminded me that I wasn't walking this journey alone. The friendships I built with my leaders are still a part of my life today, and the baby shower was an incredible blessing that made me feel so loved and supported.
After my son was born in June 2025, I rededicated my life to Christ and continued into Embrace Life. Having a community of other single moms to walk alongside has been such a gift. Looking back, Embrace Grace didn't just support me through my pregnancy. It helped lead me back to Jesus. One of my greatest joys now is seeing the same leaders who loved me at my lowest now loving the little boy they prayed over before he was even born.
