Growing up, I only knew a negative version of God. I was taught that if you did something bad, you had to do something big to make up for it. That didn’t feel like love. So when I found out I was pregnant, I was terrified. I thought God would be disappointed in me or punish me. Instead, He met me with grace.
I went to Lifeline Pregnancy Center to confirm my pregnancy. I remember sitting in the parking lot crying, almost too afraid to go inside. Something in me said, “You need to do this for your baby.” I truly believe that was God. While I was there, they told me about Embrace Grace. The first night of Embrace Grace, I found myself sitting in another parking lot crying, scared to walk in. I was convinced I would be judged. But the moment I stepped inside, I was welcomed with open arms.
Through Embrace Grace, I learned who God really is. Not a God waiting to punish me, but a Father who loves me deeply. I began to see that He has a plan for me and my baby. My life has completely changed since joining. I don’t feel alone anymore. I feel supported, encouraged, and seen. I’ve grown closer to God than I ever have before. I’ve built friendships I never expected. My leaders still check on me and remind me that I’m cared for.
God used Embrace Grace to show me His heart. And that has changed everything.
