Before Embrace Grace, I thought I had everything figured out. I grew up in a Christian home with a good family, but I had stopped going to church years before. I was in a toxic relationship with someone who kept promising he would change but never did. When I found out I was pregnant, I knew we were not going to work things out. I even made an appointment for an abortion but could not go through with it.
After that, I went to the local pregnancy center and received a Love Box. Not long after, my sister invited me to her church, and that same week they announced they were starting an Embrace Grace group. I signed up, thinking it could not hurt to have a little support. I expected judgment, but what I found instead was love, grace, and women who truly cared. I went every week, and by the end of the semester, I knew I wanted more of what I was learning about God. Each week helped me heal a little more. I began to see that God was not finished with me and that I was not alone. The encouragement and community I found through Embrace Grace restored my faith and helped me rebuild my life.
After graduating from Embrace Grace and later Embrace Life, I started attending church again regularly. When another church announced they were starting their own group, I volunteered to bring meals and share my story. Soon after, they asked if I would lead. I said yes, and now I get to walk alongside new moms as they experience the same hope I once needed. Watching these women find peace and joy reminds me that God can redeem any story. Embrace Grace brought me back to Him and showed me what grace really means. Now, I get to share that same grace with others.
